Blackpool is a beautiful seaside town in Lancashire, England. In the 18th century, Blackpool was a small peaceful town that was inhabited by a few thousands. During this time, rich people came to Blackpool to spend summer vacations here, because of the pristine beaches and the quiet calm conditions.  On 1781, public roads where started to built making it easier for visitors to reach this beautiful little town.

During the 19th Century when Blackpool can now be accessed by land, stagecoaches were the primary means of visitors from Manchester to reach Blackpool. But, inspite the increasing number of visitors Blackpool’s population remained small. But on 1850, a railway system for Blackpool was undergoing, it was then that Blackpool grew. During the 1880s Blackpool’s population grew tremendously reaching 14,000 residents.

In the early 20th Century, Blackpool now had 147,000 residents and is still growing. Blackpool got its first taste of electricity on 1912 this was later turn off until 1925, when the world war was over. Blackpool houses several historic attractions within its beautiful facade. Blackpool’s Grand Theatre is one of the most well-built and beautiful theatres in the whole of England. You will also see the one of the most dominating landmarks in Blackpool, The Blackpool tower it was built in 1894. Now the Blackpool tower is a major tourist attraction receiving visitors each day. Built in the 1900s, Pleasure Beach Blackpool was opened. Now this resort has an amusement park built with rides that include one of the world’s fastest and tallest rollercoasters ever built. Another beautiful place found in Blackpool is the Winter Gardens it is an entertainment and convention area. It houses an Opera house (the one of the biggest in Europe), a Ballroom, a Spanish hall, and an Olympia.
